Who is collecting the information?
1WBMC acts as the management company in respect of the individual units at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London (“Hotel”). We are controlled by a member of a group of companies ultimately owned by PPHE Hotel Group Limited (“PPHE”), operating in the business of hospitality, travel and e-commerce primarily in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. PPHE is a company registered in Guernsey whose shares are admitted to trading on the main list of the London Stock Exchange (Standard Listing).
Park Plaza Hotels Europe B.V. manages the Hotel under the “Park Plaza” brand whilst Westminster Bridge Hotel Operator Limited is the operator of the Hotel which manages the daily operation of the Hotel. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of PPHE.
Internally, a limited number of persons from our and PPHE’s operations, finance and legal divisions are likely to access your information to process it in accordance with the terms of the present policy and in compliance with applicable laws.
What information do we collect?
When you log-in to our Site, we collect user-specific information on the pages that you access allowing you to access certain information about your unit at the Hotel, for example, financial information relating to your unit and shareholders’ information in respect of 1WBMC. Where you email us with comments, questions and personal information via our messaging facility on the Site or via a call made to us using the telephone contact numbers provided on the Site, we may collect and store this data to enable us to keep up to date with your preferences and your user details.
Like many other commercial websites, our Site may employ a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about how our Site is used. Information about cookies can be obtained from www.allaboutcookies.org but we generally use a range of session, persistent and third party cookies. Respective illustrations of the purposes of doing so include: storing information about your preferences, compiling anonymous statistics about the manner in which our Site is accessed and used, assisting you to retrieve stored information you have provided, recognise you when you return to our Site.
HTML email web beacons
If for any reason we send you an email in response to any email you send us via the Site or otherwise, this may contain a single, campaign-unique "web beacon pixel" to tell us whether our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links or advertisements within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to users, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email.
What do we do with the information we collect from you?
As well as using the information to enable you to use our services, we use the information that we collect from you to allow you to access certain information in relation to your unit. With this information we can provide relevant financial information in respect of your unit. We also use the collected information to improve the design of our Site’s pages.
Where your information is stored and our security procedures
Our Site and our databases currently reside on servers in the European Economic Area and the USA; we co-operate with sub-contracted data processors in various countries. We request data processors to strictly adhere to the data protection legislation pursuant to the EU Directive 95/46/EC and we instruct our partners accordingly. If and when we transfer your personal information from one country to another country, we take appropriate measures to protect your privacy and personal information in accordance with the EU legislation for international data transfers. By using our Site you are consenting to the transfer of your personal information to any country in the world in accordance with the terms of this policy.
We implement what we believe to be appropriate and proportionate physical, technical and organisational security for the management and transmission of personal data, including appropriate security measures designed to protect such data from accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access and all other unlawful forms of processing. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorised individuals have access to the information provided by you. We are not liable for personal data lost in transmission to the Site.
Sharing your information with others
We share your personal information with PPHE and its subsidiaries (the “Group”). Although unlikely, we may also disclose your personal information to third parties, the court services and/or regulators in connection with proceedings or investigations. In the event that 1WBMC (or a part thereof or a member of the Group) is sold to a third party or undergoes a re-organisation, you agree that any of your personal information which it holds may be transferred to that re-organised entity or third party and used for the same purposes.
